Doubtless, many of you heard the news that recently, due to shifting administration priorities, the NEA rescinded the “We Always Swing”® Jazz Series $25,000 “Grants For Arts Project” award. We submitted the NEA Grant in February 2024 to help support of a major 30^th Anniversary Season project – an April 30, 2025, International Jazz Day Concert with the home-grown 18-piece Columbia Jazz Orchestra performing the music of, featuring and under the direction of the great saxophonist Bobby Watson.
